what?! what history books are you reading out of? I think you might need to check your facts - here's a few to get you started:
Pres L. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act he also issued an executive order to enforce affirmative action. Reagan vetoed the Civil Rights Restoration Act, and Bush #1 tried to veto CRA of 91 but after much pressure he gave in and signed. Going back a bit further - Thomas Jefferson was a democrat, do you think he was opposed to civil rights (kept in context with the time in which he lived). And what about habius corpus? Wasn't that writ fundamental to human rights? It's gone now thanks to .... well - NOT the democrats.

Dont let Democrats fool you. There is no longer any difference at all between democrats and republicans outside the obvious abortion, gay rights and gun control. Thats why those three are always such big topics during election seasons. Its the only three things they have to complain about each other about.

Could you remind me again:
What party is currently in office? You know, the ones that have the President that seems to think it is legal for him to authorize wire tapping and invasion of privacy without the benefit of a warrant or even a shred of evidence. . . They are the same ones that have now passed a law that makes it possible to try an individual without allowing them to know all of the "evidence" that is against them, thus violating their right to dispute and disprove said evidence. . .
If anyone can help me out on this, I would appreciate it.
