OK your doc is probably not correct unless you had other stuff going on. If my doc based my baby's due date on when my last period was she would ahve been born 3 months late. Not every woman's cycle is the same and they aren't even the same from month to month. (And be wary of going with 14 days as the "norm" as that is only accepted as the norm and is definitely not true of everyone - whether you count after yuor period or before - every women is unique.
I conceived on cycle day 61... meaning 61 days after my period started.. no period in that whole time....
I recommend going to a fertility doc if you've been trying for this long - not just a regular OB. Also - read Taking Charge of Your Fertility - it was very helpful for me to understand my very odd cycles.
Good luck :). My sister tried for about 4+ years and was about to go on fertility drugs but decided to take a break from trying and she got pregnant - so it happens when you least expect it.

No that is very unusual it has happened but it won't be a regular event. That means that you were ovulating while on your cycle. So you cycle is irregular. Most cycles are every 29-31 days and you ovulate about 10 days before your period.
You can get ovulation predictors in the drug store that will let you know your fertile time. If not I suggestion you consult a Gynecologist that specializes in fertility issues.
Sounds to me like you got some wrong information somewhere.
Sorry you are having troubles with this issue. The miscarriage must have been an awful thing to go through.
Hugs

Your doctor is probably incorrect on when you conceived. Chances are very slim that you got pregnant while on your period. Not totally impossible, but highly unlikely. As for trying for 3 years, you should definately talk to your doctor and get some tests done on you and your husband. Is he the father of your son? If not, he could be the problem. On average it should only take someone your age around 4 months to conceive.
Good Luck!!

NO!!! A woman becomes pregnant after she ovulates and the sperm fertilizes the egg. Ovulation usually takes place 10-16 days after the first day of your period. It is possible to become pregnant while on your period if your period continues for longer than a week.
Try having sex on the 10th, 12th, 14th and 16th day after the first day of your period. After your husband has ejaculated, keep your legs up against the wall or bedpost for ten minutes. Sounds strange, but this has worked in the past
Good luck!

Typically, women don't get pregnant during their periods. It could have just been a quirky thing that happened. After three years, you should check you insurance benefits and start testing to see why you cannot conceive. It could be an easily fixed problem, but without treatment you may never conceive. Three years without birth control definitely would indicate something is not working. Make an appointment.

you need to figure out how long (from the first day of menstrual flow) do your cycles last. Count back 14 days and that is when you ovulate. Most people think that it is 14 days from the start of your cycle but if your cycle is longer than 28 days then the rules change. If your cycle lasts only 25 days then you ovulate on day 11. If your cycle is 30 days long then you ovulate on day 16. I own a clear blue easy fertility monitor and it is responsible for my daughters conception aside from my husband.

I don't think so. Maybe you just need to try to relax and give your body time. I know three years is a long time to try but your body must be tired if you have a young child to look after? I am sorry you had a miscarriage.
I think you should relax and concentrate on other things.
If it still doesn't happen for you and you are still worried then see a fertility specialist.

The best time to get pregnant, is normally between the 7th and 10th day after the last!!! day of your periods, they have ovulation tests out now where you can test yourself during those times to make sure you are fertile.

Most likely yes. However, I think you are too young to have another baby. Try waiting a few years, and maybe then you will have better luck, It may just not be a good time to get pregnant for you.
