What is your opinion of people who make statements about homosexuals raising children, and how they will influence the child into a homosexual "lifestyle"?

As you can see ( my parent are straight but i'm gay so there goes your theory) that gays dont want to give a truthful answer. If muslims raise adopted kids , there is a strong chance they will be muslims , If your parents suck crawdad guts you probably will to (yuck) and guess what if your parents are sexual deviants you wont have a problem being a pervert either.

It is pure ingnorance to even suggest it. I am a lesbian and my parents were straight, why was I not influenced into a straight lifestyle. (Forgive me for the labels - just making the point.)
That said, what the heck is a homosexual lifestyle. My home is like any other. I am succesful professional, beautiful home, not interested in wild parties, have a great art collection, watch TV , celebrate holidays, belong to a congregation, serve on non profit boards, never committed a crime, dont drink or drug, never smoked, AGAIN what the HECK IS GAY LIFESTYLE...rediculous
ALSO I have 2 daughters, I am a lesbian, and they are totally straight!! So to answer your question the people who say that are plain stupid!!!!

Well, they do have a right to their own opinions but I think they're full of it. There's nothing wrong with two people who love each other wanting to raise a child. As long as love is in the house, the child will know it. I'd much rather have a child raised by two loving gay people than in an abusive or indifferent heterosexual house. Blessings.

Why does it matter if their children are influenced into a homosexual lifestyle? Don't heterosexual families influence their kids into a heterosexual lifestyle?
The people that say homosexuals adopting is bad are the same people that think homosexuality is bad in the first place (also the people that think it is a "choice").

It's not a homosexual life style. It's a life. It might surprise you to know that my parent are (ohmyGod)straight! Yuck, that left a bad taste. The point is, we live in a society that constantly bombards us with the hetero life style, and yet we are gay. This proves you can't influence one way or the other. It just says people like to blame on others what they can't control or want to understand.

My opinion of such people is (to say the least) very low. They make such statements completely unsupported by evidence. The fact remains that no child adopted by a homosexual couple can be unwanted, so there is a greatly reduced chance of them being abused. As far as homosexual parents making their child homosexual, that is too stupid to even consider.

Here's a newsflash for you, 10% of all the babies born are homosexual. If you killed all the gays and lesbians today, the next round of babies would still be 10% homosexual without any influence.
I don't believe it is a choice that is made by anyone.

homosexuals can raise children very well just the same or better as the heterosexual parents. No, no one can convert children into homosexual or heterosexual. Remember, the straight parents too raised gay children.

they are ignorant and ridiculous. I don't have kids, but I have gay/lesbian friends who do. a parent's sexuality does NOT determine their child's sexuality. it is genetic. if that were true, then we wouldn't be gay/lesbian, now would we? I was raised by straight parents, as the majority of us are. it's not a "lifestyle" or a "choice." it's just how we happen to be born.

How could it impact a child's sexuality?? My parents raised me in a heterosexual "lifestyle" and I'm gay. I think people just need an excuse to deny us equal rights.

You cant raise a GAY child, if it was possible to pick orientation for children then there wouldn't be any gay people out there. If it weren't for straight people, then there wouldn't be any gays. So the answer to your question is there is no possible way to create a child to become GAY or STRAIGHT!!!!
