Just when I think it can't get worse... it does. I know I sound like the typical highschool person, but please try to empathize. My grades have been dropping, slightly, but not horribly, which I fear they will. I am not so socially capable and I often don't know the right things to say. When I thought I could take comfort in my crush, he asks out another girl, that's blonde with large eyes. Plus, I go to a very, very small school (about 40 people a grade) and there's no way that I can escape all this fear and agony. Thankfully she said no to him, but it sucks to know that a guy I've liked for two years likes a girl he's known for three months. I've never felt so overwhelmed with all this trouble and I can't find any way to comfort myself, so I cut my arm. Trust me, I don't want attention, and I'm not mentally unstable, I only want genuine advice, please.

As far as the grades go, try elliminating whatever distraction it may be that is keeping you from your studies. Trust me on this, I almost failed out of my Senior year due to not passing an english class. Howver my distraction was work, which I should have quit but it was my fault on that. As far as this guy goes, be up front with him about how you feel. If he really is your friend he will understand. Who knows you two might work out, then again if he does not want to date you, you will feel better in the end about telling him about it and you will be able to move on. By the way, dont cut your self anymore, I have scars on my arm and cant take my shirt off for fear of some one seeing.

Chill, girl. He's still eligible to be your man and plus, you can raise up your grades by getting after school (or before school) tutoring on the stuff you don't understand. Look at the stuff you don't do so great on. What are your common mistakes? Are they silly/forgetful mistakes or are they mistakes on stuff you don't understand?

Feel comforted to know that everybody in high school doesn't always have straight A's and they all fear of failing too. You're not perfect, so don't pressure yourself-just do your best. Don't cut your arm either, I have a friend who's been struggling with self injury for years. It's not fun and it'll stay with you for the rest of your life.

Relax and rest easy. You'll be fine. Just do your best and relax. Whenever you feel worried or stressed take a walk, have a good laugh, talk out your feelings, journal it, or call a friend about it. These are perfect ways to deal with stress and the best part is that they don't leave a scar.

I feel for you. I've moved around alot since I was a kid, and I know people from the city wants to move into the country, while people from the country wants to move to a bigger city where they can get lost in the crowd. The point is, wherever you are, whatever your situation, you are going to have to beat the odds to win, and there isn't any escapes or shortcuts to making your dreams come true. If you think that you aren't socially capable, you are never going to be. I used to have this fear of socializing because I had trouble making friends, and I often talked down on myself. This caused tensions between me and my real friends which made us go to our seperate ways because I didn't trust in myself. Do I regret it? No, because I learn from it. Your crush is selfish just like anybody in the world, because he only looks for what he's interested in. It's not as bad as being rejected by the love of your life, which I had to go through once (she used to love me, but she married another man). But I never gave up. Life goes on no matter what kind of bad things happen, and only if you believe in yourself, and keep going, will you find your happiness. It amazes me that things work out this way in life, and it would've caused me less worries if I had known back when I was in high school.

That is hard to put out there. I was very quiet in high school and kept top myself. Yes i saw guys that were good looking with the size 0 girls. It hurt to see a crush with other girls but I always told myself that I can do better than that. Never put someone else above you. Guys in high school are very immature, and everything changes once you are out. Now you may think that it is everything but it is not. You will see. I held up a good image in HS and had alot of friends and I also kept confident. There was a point though, were I was doing bad because of the influence of my friends. I got kicked out of high school and went to continuation. I had to pick myself up and actaully believe in myself. It was hard but I did it. Talking to people helps alot and trust me there are people who you can talk to including myself. I knew a few cutters, and suprisingly they never got out what they felt and cutting is how they did it. You have to find a way in yourself to stop (an alternative). And dont worry about guys. The right one for YOU will come along, and will admire who you are. Good Luck!

Some people cut themselves so that they can feel real and alive, because they feel bad inside. If this is the case with you, you should not let this crush thing get you down. We can't always get the partner we want in life. It is best to be patient and wait for the right guy who worships you.

Um i think that the best thing to do is to stop cutting yourself and find a hobby or maybe see the school counciler i myself know people who cut and there story sounds the same and they sought helpo in their friends which many people do. I would find friend and tell them everything that way it feels better and everything is off you chest and you can move on to a better day. Cheer up high school ends eventually its not worth losing your life or your arm to.

hope this helps

Don't cut. You'll regret it so much later on, trust me.

Maybe your crush doesn't know you like him? He might not have thought that he would be hurting you because he was unaware of your feelings.

And well... If he did know, would you want to date someone who can so easily disregard other people's feelings? If that's true, I'd probably rethink the situation.

In any case, the big thing that bothers me is that you started to cut. Don't do that to yourself, you're worth so much more.

Please tell someone...a teacher you trust, a friend, your parents, the school councillor. It can't keep going on like this.

It looks like the guy is making this happen but please try and get over him, find someone who will love you for who you are in any situation. Don't worry about guys now...push him out of your mind and concentrate on school. When you least expect it you will find the perfect guy.
