Nope! With all the new tools, and the helps that can just slide on, click in, and whatever -- it is much easier now -- so much so that this Retiree can stand on the ground, and click a piece of plastic into her gutters from a long pole, release that piece of plastic, and click into the plastic on the next lift the next section of lights on the exterior of the home.

It just takes a little bit of planning to do the outside -- and it does not take much. The Net lights over a bush, the rope lights along the driveway, the icicle lights along the roof line -- and start it twinkling away!

I also plug the lights into an outdoor timer sensor -- one which turns the lights on at dusk and for a few hours. That way, it is twinkling as I get home, twinkling as I finish unloading, those driving by can see the twinkling, and when I go to sleep -- so do the lights.

Apparently so. I've been married for 30 years, and my husband has yet to put up the Christmas lights that he promised he would -- the first year that we were married.

Not at all. I put up my tree and lights on Thanksgiving weekend. My sons always do their best to help. They are 7 and 9 now. They really enjoy doing this. A few holiday drinks always goes well with this activity.
