I was raised in an abusive household, where my mother told me that only whores want to have babies, just so that they could have relations with men. I'm older now...but that has stuck with me. Is this really true? Sometimes, I feel myself yearning for a child. Is there anything wrong with this?

It's actually very natural for women to want to have babies. It's actually in our hard-wiring. That's very unfortunate that your mother used that on you. If you want to have a baby, have one -- just be perfectly certain you can support it until it's around college age and keep insurance on it. There's nothing wrong with having a baby if your single or married. Just make certain you supply the aforementioned things and a great deal of love. Blessings, my dear.

It sounds to me like your mother hated her situation so badly so she took it out on you. At the same time, it also sounds to me like she did not want you to follow in her footsteps, so she told you something that isn't true to keep you from following in her footsteps. No it is not true that only whores have babies. Lots of women in many different situations have babies. Idealy, the thing to do is to get married, then have children (hopefully in a happy and loving household). But there also those women that do not wish to have children at all (childfree). There is nothing wrong with wanting to have a child. Just make sure that it is under the right circumstances (and make sure that you are financially stable enough to take care of this child). Because too many times, the decision to have children is made too easily and only when it is too late do the parents realize just how much work is involved in raising the child (or children if there are more than one). I'm not trying to scare you...just want you to think about this before actually doing it.

Your mother had issues I'm sorry you had to grow up in that environment. It's very natural to want your own baby. Even "some" lesbians want babies it's not to have sex with a man that's for sure. Children are a blessing sad your mother never saw that. I started wanting a baby in my teens. It's natural to want a child. From my experience whores don't want the burden of a baby.

oh honey, women all over the world have babies every day! only whores abort babies! i wanted children oh so bad it made me cry sometimes. babies will come all in good time, i asure you. i am a mom and have one on the way. i never thought id be a mother because it never happend. now that i think about it, i was just over reacting! Im only 21 and have a great life. i think you will too! Good Luck hun and go have babies! But with the one you love of corse!

NO I am not a whore and I would give anything in this world to have a baby and I can't. I think that you should block those thoughts out of your head right away. I think that you just have a maternam instinct catching p with you. That is one of the things that we were made for was to bare children it is what seperates us from men.

There is nothing un-natural about wanting a child. Women were blessed with being able to carry babies and it is okay for you to want to take advantage of that gift. What your mom said is untrue, about only whores having babies. Maybe what she meant is, that only married women should have babies. Good luck.

Yes, absolutly yes it is normal to want a child. It's maternal instinct. It's also what allows us to go for endless days without sleep and still beam with joy when they wake up from their nap. Sounds like you could use some coaching before you venture into parenthood. Find a good support group or counselor. It'll help you with the feelings and coping with the memories.

We're you a only a child? That may be the reason why, I was an only child. My sister's like 17 yrs older than I was. But if you do have one, have your stuff together(money, transportation, own place) There cute and sweet BUT a BIG responsibility. Another when your young you do think like that, but thats a good thing your not selfish.

It is perfectly normal wanting a child. It has nothing to do with being a whore. Sorry ur mama messed up ur think like that, cause a child is a blessing and a beautiful thing to experience.

Its a womans nature to want to have children. There is nothing bad about that. I am soo sorry your mother twisted the want for a baby into such a horrible thing. She had no right to do that to you. Its ok and fine to want to have a baby. Maybe you shoudl consider seeing a therapist to help you sort your feelings out.
