I would have to go with my boy Nas because he's more lyrical than Jay-z. Some of Jay-z songs sound alright but he don't have nothing on my boy Nas.

Yeah. Nas is better than Jay-z. He has better albums than Jay-z. Jay-z probably just has better hits. Think about is Nas has Illmatic. The greatest hip hop album of all time. Then he has It was written, Stillmatic, God's Son and Street's disiples. Almost all his albums are tight. Jay-z has Reasonable Doubt and the Blue Print, and the rest of his albums are kinda weak. And Jay-z stills other people's lyrics. Nas is more positive and doesn't brag much. He's different than all these other rapper's out. I can't wait for his next project HipHop is Dead.... The N. Nas is the best besides 2pac.

OK, Nas is great and is one of the best, but I think Hov as a whole is better. J has mastered the balance between mainstream and real hip hop. Not many emcess can have the success that he has and still have a lot of streed cred. J has also got the mogul thing down pretty good. Then talkin mic skills I believe J got the best flow of all time. His lyrics are always consistent and he does drop an decent amount of real lyrical tracks. Also the fact that he basically freestyles most of his songs is pretty amazing. I will admit that ether got a close win over takeover, but I choose Jay for his overall impact.

Jay-z

Come on it's not like we're comparing Biggie to Pac, it's not that difficult.

I don't even know why people compare Jay-z and Nas. Nas is decent, and even then he is obviously pretending to be a thug. His whole persona is fake. Ever see him in an interview? Talking in that lame fake voice. From his music, you'd think he really smokes, but watch how fake he looks when he does it on camera. Listen to those lyrics of his, he fake, a clown, a joke. He here for my amusement.
