You are Greek perhaps you can tell me why your team has hit the skids in the past few years with football after taking the Euro title. Did you run out of money for the refs?

WaterfallofDestiny - what do you mean about that?? Considering I am half Greek I think they played fair and really deserved to win the Euro 2004 game against Portugal. Not to mention they played well throughout the whole tournament. Beating Portugal twice and France too. Greece is not a very good football team, I can state the obvious and I definately think they will never make it as far as winning the world cup but they deserved to win and that is just what they did.
and they didn't pay the refs!

Good question, RO35, I actually planned to ask one of the Greek people I know, until I realized that he hardly supports the Greek national team compared to FC Barcelona.
I wonder why I've never heard a solid answer from a Greek person concerning the matter of the Euro 2004 title.
Sexy_canna: All right, I think I should clarify a little bit - I don't accuse the Greeks of paying the referees, or cheating in any other way, but I just feel that they happened to be lucky that time around, during the Euro 2004 final. Portugal nearly scored in a couple of cases, but no matter how many times they tried, the ball would either miss by a large margin or bounce off the goalpost (or the bar, I don't remember).

I don't know im not greek and im EXTREMELY ANGRY that they beat PORTUGAL in the Euro 2004 but ya any way they did! good question though!!

YOU RE CONFUSING THE GREEKS WITH THE ITALIANS BUT THERE ARE TWO (AMONG MYRIADS OF WAYS) TO SEPARATE THEM.
1. GREEKS DID NOT PUT UGLY SUPPORTS ON THEIR STATUES (THAT WERE BRUTALLY COPIED OVER AND OVER BY THE ITALIANS' ANCESTORS)
2. BY COMPARISON: GO TO A GREEK A LOCKEROOM, THEN MAKE A STOP, BUY A MAGNIFYING GLASS AND VISIT THE ITALIAN ONE.
