Forgiving Saddam is all good and fine...except for a couple of little itsy-bitsy problems:
1) Hussein appears to have no remorse.
2) Hussein is being tried BY IRAQIS, in an IRAQI court.
3) Forgiveness is one thing. Forgetting is quite another.
Do we release murderers? Wait...yeah, we do. Okay, well in a perfect world, we would never release murderers. It isn't that we hate them, or that we don't forgive them for what they did. It's simply because they shouldn't be allowed to murder again!
How is that different from Hussein? He murdered hundreds of thousands! Yeah, we can forgive him...but it doesn't mean that he should be released.

I wouldn't say Bush is a hypocrite on that but I would say this. I don't believe in capital punishment on nobody reguardless what anybody done wrong. I think they are going to let Saddam go because God knows his heart and he knows his softer side. People in America may think that Saddam is the most dangerous man in the world and he start cursing in court and cutting up and they think that he still hate and planning to attack America again, but deep down he loves America and he eats American food like Raisin Bran for breakfast. Saddam can be a changed man if he wants to . All he has to do is repent and and ask God to save him.

Even if Bush does forgive him, it doesn't mean that the person forgiven doesn't have to face justice or deal with the punishment for his actions. Forgiveness isn't a free pass. Why? Do you think Saddam should be forgiven for his genocide? I think that's the more important question.

Well if he doesn't forgive Saddam....and he really said that!...then He will not be forgiven by God.
It is said in the Good book, if you do not forgive, then my father in heaven can not forgive you!
Now...
I didn't write it folks....so don't get mad at me....I just live by it! o.k.
And
I think God is saying something quite fair anyway..after all He has to forgive us....but only if we ask Him too.
Otherwise ....we He won't forgive.....Saddam as we know is a crazy guy?........but God knows what we should do.

Bush is not the one who determines what sinners deserve forgiveness, even if he is the dictator. We know he is a hypocrite, but I truly think he does not believe he is ever wrong.

Forgive Him isn't he the 3 rd Anti Christ???
the man is lucky to be getting a trial he is god dammed lucky he didn't afford the same to the thousands upon thousands he killed and tortured .. I think the bible also said an eye for an eye as well
He tortured thousands and got great delight at watching their suffering why should he not be subject to the same while they watch his agony

"Forgiving" him and making him answer for his crimes are two different things. Perhaps Bush forgives him in his heart, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't prosecute him under the law.
