i already do the reading but i don't learn that much words...

Everytime you hear those high resounding words on TV. Or come accross them in reading a magazine or bookr even hear your teacher or others talk to you, you should make it an effort to learn the meaning. Retain it to memory. So next time you can start spewing all those high resounding words such as triffecta, conniption, aphorisms, horrendous,proclivity, paradoxical, etc.

The only way is to listen to the big words and look them up, otherwise if you change your mind about reading you can pick up this small paperback book titled "30 days to a more powerful vocabulary" .

Depends what kind of words you want, but test prep companies make a lot of flashcards for SAT vocabulary that are very easy to use.

There is no way to learn big words without reading being included. Thats like learning to read without having to read. READING IS FUNDAMENTAL! GET HOOKED ON PHONICS!

watch documentaries (history channel, discovery, biorgraphy channel, nova educational videos) attend university classes, u can just audit a course (u can sit in ona university english course and just sit and listen and not do any of the work but u dont get any of the credit), hang out with smart ppl...

make flash cards, and go through them over and over again until you think you are pretty confident then have someone quiz you on the words. Hope this helps!
