It's what you believe, and what you really believe. If you believe yourself to be unlucky, you will be unlucky. The moron next door probably feels lucky all the time and believes that he's one lucky ****, and everything just falls into place.

Karma my skinny behind. It depends more on the background, namely how many opportunities you have depending on your parent's economic situation and your country's wealth.

I mean, luck has rarely something to do, unless you mean winning the lottery or hitting the jackpot in Vegas, but a)to win the lotto you must hit a certain set of numbers, making that a narrow possibility. That is luck all right, still how many lottery winners have you met? Now b) to hit the jackpot you must spend a lot of money, or risk a big amount on several bets, sorta like "working" the slot or the table.

Now if we refer to a certain William Gates, note that he had the chance to go to college and had the good sense of earning a degree in a science branch still developing (how many Billies have surfaced since?). Then figured out how to turn into a personal necessity a gadget supposedly reserved to scientists. Give the guy a little credit, man.

Think of all the people that struck the million dollar idea, like the creator of the paper clip. How much work did he put, not into thinking of the object, but in developing it?

Now, as for the homeless and the Third World, and all of those who either lost what little or much they had, or never had anything at all, are personal circumstances (like addictions and disease) or economic variables a matter of luck? Your birth inside a pauper family in Somalia is a karma thing?

C'mon.

Those who are blessed with luck have prepared themselves for things that can go wrog so that when something does happen (badluck) they can fix it and move along. Prepare yourself better and u will find yourself having less bad luck. People who never prepare always have bad luck. Such as a flat tire that is every ones misfortune to have a flat once in awhile what makes the luck is having the spare tire the jack and the lug wrench or if u prefer not to get dirty tripple a works well

Karma possibly...but i dont believe that anyone is really just blessed with good luck...somehow it all balances out in the end, you may not always be able to see it, but the person who seems to have everything will always be lacking in some area where the person who has to struggle through life may have something more important that they see as good luck that the underpriveledged person may not see as important. What goes around comes around, and when it comes down to it, what you might see as blessed or luck, may feel like a curse to the person at the other end. Dont assume people are happy just because they seem to have everything handed to them on a silver platter.

Good point...
I often wonder why it's easier for some people to prosper whereas the rest of us lead such hard, bland lives... ho-hum=\
I do believe however, that the people who we think are 'lucky' actually were prepared upon 'seeing' an opportunity.
Also, I think being born into a wealthy family plays a factor too=P
So in other words, it's Karma *I agree with the ones that said it before me, lol*

Don't listen to those idiots that say karma. The don't have a freaking clue. Luck is just that-luck. It can happen for good or bad people. If it happens for you then embrace it. If not, then off to work you go.

Some people set themselves up to be lucky. They make a point of meeting with people, even when they'd rather not; they go get the degree or information that they need, so when someone needs it, there's a match. They search out different types of people and know how to network.

I think that if you have a REALLY good attitude about life then you are one of the lucky ones-because if you don't then everything becomes a struggle.
