I love getting massages at spas but it is obviously very pricey! how else can i get massage but for less?

There is an website that offers you to exchange massages (they are international, so there should be some people in NYC as well).
With a free membership you can send prewritten messages to other users and if they are gold members they can answer you. If you see that there are a lot of members in your area, you may want to become a silver member ($34.95 for one year) and are able to contact anyone.
Another option that has already been mentioned are massage schools. (Good) students are always glad to work with new people. They won't do it free, but much cheaper than at spas.

Is there a school nearby that teaches massage therapy? The often offer reduced prices.
