...and my feet have been killing me. Yeah, I know I'm 25 but I've lived in Hawaii all my life, so rubber slippers were all I wore. Plus, the fact that I'm 5'11" scared me away from heels :o) But I've gotten a corporate job now, so running around in heels is killing my feet. It's been over a month now (I thought I'd be used to them by now) and the pain is not letting up. Are there exercises I can do or stretches or something to help this pain and to strengthen my foot. I know it's kind of a weird question but any tips would be appreciated.

This is not a weird question at all. You probably are not going to have this pain go away anytime soon with these shoes you are wearing so far. If they are stretched out enough and are still hurting you then you need to move on and try something else. You can check with shoe stores that are knowledgeable in advice of how high to wear the heel within reason without severe pain. You are setting yourself up for future back trouble and it can become a real problem. You may not be able to wear real high heels but you are already tall so you may not want to get too much taller. I can understand why you want to wear them to be more dressy but see what advice you can get to have the look you want without all that pain. Take care of your feet and good luck with that job!

I'm 15 n practically live in heels (hehe)...

buuuut you should just practice walking in them by doing things around the house in them...dont take em off (maybe about an hour a day).. I've walked/ jogged on a treadmill in mine, I think it helped. buuut yea, you'll get used 2 the pain.

oh and try to do everything w/ a light foot. point your feet more, like when you sit or lay down...it'll prep ur foot muscles.

oh oh oh and have u tried flats?? since they're "in" right now, you can find them almost anywhere... they're just as classy and chic as heels but a hell of a lot less painful.
I think a small heel would be a great idea. try nothing above a 3" (or 2.5" to play it safe) 2.5" are really comfortable.

where did you get the shoes/ who made them. the problem may be the shoes (too high of a heel, or jus plain bad shoe)

If its been a month and they are still really hurting your feet, I think it would be suitable with your height to just wear low heeled shoes. They look just as classy, and sexy, and they will feel a lot better for all-day wear. The plus: you wont have to worry about towering over too high. As well lower heels wont make ur pants look flooded, which is likely an issue with your height.

sounds like you have poorly fit shoes, you may need to shop around a bit for a more comfortable shoe, try different styles and sizes to find a better fit. if the pain continues, there may be a foot condition causing the pain. i do have a website you could try for the foot conditions if changing shoes does not work, myfootshop.com. it offers very informative articles and products to help with foot pain and shoe fitting issues. give it a try and hopefully the foot pain goes away! use the source for direct link to a couple of articles for starters that may help.

Buy different heals. The ones you bought are obviously not the right ones for you. Try a small heal to start. Wal-mart sells a high heel that is about 1 inch and they are pretty comfortable. They more you get use to the heals the higher you can go. Start short and go for tall.

try to get frquent pedicures and use mint foot cream (it cools and refreshes them.) there's really not much you can do, sorry. but try to find the perfect fit for your foot. for example everyone can't wear pointy toe shoes. perhaps you should try round toe, if you haven't already. try a wider shoe, or wedge heels. the pain sucks, but isn't it worth it? i just got the perfect pair of red patent leather stilettos with an ankle strap. they kill, but they're gorgeous.

The only think that I can think of is to practice wearing them without killing yourself. Like bring your heels and another pair of comfy shoes (that you can get away with wearing at work). The only way that you can get used to them is to practice.

Hm well I don't know of any excersizes that you could do but, maybe just shop around for more comfortable lower heels... like maybe an inch high or so. Just make sure they're comfortable! =) Sorry for the lack of info. =/

hey i know how you feel...i was like that when i was fourteen...now im 16 and im used it to..it takes a while for you to get used it....i think you should wear it everyday for like 2 months, that might help, also when your walkin on you heals...walk on your tippie toes..its hard to explain..but if you walk with your heals like tennis shoes its hard so start from front to back heel on your heals instead of back to front..

also do alot of excersises like standing on your heals with no shoes or heals on...so that your calf can get stronger!
