I dont know....are you sure the ball isn't a boomerang or something? or maybe there is a BIG tornado and the winds are so strong that they push the ball backthru the air towards u?

I believe that if I throw a ball hard in the air it will return to me/near me. I know that to be sure that the ball will return to me, I must hit it against something e.g. a wall.
