I would think that one in NY would support a NL and AL team, and pick one if they both made the World Series. But Yank/Mets fans hate each other passionately?

Okay, here's how i see it.

It's all about representing your team. In New York you have 2 baseball teams, which means two different sets of fans. The fans of one team always has to make it known how well their team is doing or how poorly the other guys team is doing. Just like any other rival fans would do. The only difference is that you have millions of people doing this in one city, not to mention the other fans around the state of New York, and for that matter, the country. Now, eventually this bickering will end up upsetting someone, and the bickering gets a little more serious. Now the rivalry is getting a little more intense. And when you get those loud *** New Yorkers (I'm allowed to say that...I'm from there) hollering at each other about their respective teams, there's no stopping them.....and it gets personal after a while. Nobody messes with my Yankees, without out me yelling right back at them. It just so happens you have both teams in the same city. which just scream rivalry.

Because Met fans are BIG CRY BABIES, And also there very jealous that The yankees get so much paper time,Our Team is always on the front pages in the paper,,There team on the back. Then they were crying about how we have our own TV Station,Thank God they finally got theirs!! Also,,now this is really funny,They took a poll in ny last month and 85% of new yorkers are yankee fans,,OH This is even better, today on the news they said the ratings for this playoff series were terrible,They said only when Boston, and the yankess play,,the ratings are overwhelming.
Fox is very disapointed that the Yankees didn't go far in the playoffs,,Now last but not least,The met fans always say Steinbrenner tries to buy the world series rings,,Well they can't talk no more,Because Omar did the same thing this yr,He's copying Steinbrenner,Now maybe the crybabies will finally stop crying..And now it's our turn to root for the team playing against them.

You dont understand.

Its pick one team, stick with that team, hate the crosstown/longtime rivals/enemys.

There are 2 teams that hate the Yanks more, the Los Angeles Dodger and Boston Red Sox.

yankee fans are very arrogant and like to rubb the championships they won in everyones face and always put the mets down. Now the typical yankee fan is wearing mets caps and saying their mets fan until the yankees sign another overpaid undertalented bum.

Its because of the fans. Yankee fans are obnoxious, nasty, rude, just plain ol mean, and the players think their **** dont stink!

Us METS fans , and players are as humble as they get.
