The slightest vibration near it causes the water to leak significantly out the corners, almost as if the water is missing the dehumidifier tank completely, and going out the sides. I tried cleaning the filter, thinking perhaps the lint on the filter was blocking the water from going where it needed to go. Does anybody know what's wrong with it? It's driving me mad. It defeats the purpose of having a dehumidifier if the dehumidifier is dumping much of the water on the floor. (It's an LG model. Those are the initials on it.)

Er. Um. What's a Canooter Valve?

Nah - it's not the tank - that would be too easy. When I pull the tank out, and give the dehumidifier a slight shake, it leaks out the corner [above where you'd put the tank in].

It sounds like there is a blockage in the outlet of the trough that is under the evaporator coils(the ones that get wet) and not allowing the water to go into the "tank" but overflowing and onto the floor. Check the opening for blockage.

Special designed kit at suppliers for this application. Regular adhesives will not bond in direct water contact. Until then a suction cup of some sort that will use vacuum to slow the leak until you get a kit is the best I can think of. I have had above ground pools for many years good luck.

i think aaron is trying to say....he has NO idea...
i would suggest some putty tape, or something like that , and create another gasket around the part that is letting the water out.
if the tank is leaking...you may have a crack in it...
