The cows provide milk, chickens provide eggs, sheep provide wool, but why do farmers have goats on the farm?

goats also provide milk and meat. Goat cheese is very popular. Also goats eat grass and keep it trim so you dont have to mow the lawn as often.

Goats' wool can also be used to make clothing. The milk of female goats is often used to make low-fat ice cream and cheese.

Goats are good for goat milk. Goats are good for clearing land especially if you have a mess of them, you can actually rent them out for that purpose. Some folks make a nice meal out of them, not me.

Goat milk. It is supposed to be healtier than cow's milk.

goat cheese!...but mostly my uncle used them to clean out an over grow area on his farm.....they will eat ANYTHING! u can put them in an area fenced in that is to thick to see thu and with in 6 months that area looks like it was mowed......
