An old couple is sinking their teeth into their Mc Veggie. The husband says shall we go to Bahamas for the their 50th wedding anniversary. The wife retorts with shall we go to Hardwar and to take a dip in the holy Ganges water. I don't see the connection between eating a Mac and atoning for sins by taking the holy dip. Can anyone understand this ad ? I am flummoxed !

I don't have a clue. I think most advertisements are stupid and insult our intelligence. It's like, what are you trying to say? Like the Geico commercials where an actor repeats what a person is saying? What is that all about, we can't understand English. I am the biggest remote hog in the house. Not only do I change when stupid commercials come on I also have to turn the volume down about 3 notches to keep my sanity. They have someone talking, loud noises and music in the bachground as well as whatever is going on with the commercial. It's very aggrivating and none of them make me want to go out and buy anything. I'm a commercial free television hopeful. I'm not electronically inclined or I would have something to cut them out completly.

This is a guess because I've never seen the commercial...

The McVeggie tastes so much like beef, they think it is beef and they have to make up for the sin of "killing" the animal they're eating??

Hindus don't eat beef and they bathe in the Ganges River. They were eating a veggie sandwich.

I guess because the McVeggie tastes so good that they need to go to the Ganges and repent for "sinning".

"sinful" food usually refers to something like a cheesecake, but this burger they speak of tastes like something that could be considered sinful.
