how does having an aquarius ascendant and aquarius ruler uranus in saggitarius? does this make me take on saggitarius physical traits as well?

No, where the ruler is placed is more to do with the thought process. You could be or are a professional student or seeker of knowledge (Sagittarius) but have a hard time finishing what you start (Uranus) and want to move on to something else.
