Hi, can anyone tell me exactly how to talk like Darth Vader (and please don't tell about this silly Darth Vader mask you can buy). Also, if you can do a rat voice (such a nasty cartoon one, ya know) I would be glad to hear how to do it (like tongue placement, what do you do in your throat and all that).

Okay, seeing as you don't want to tke the easy way out.
Go to the bathroom and practice.
Start with the buzz phrases:
"Luke, I am your father luke."
"When I left, I was but the student. Now, I am the master."
Punctuate the hard vowel sounds.
Talk from the back of the throat.
And keep your voice gravelly

You have to be James Earl Jones to be able to talk like Darth Vader. Impersonate the actor's voice and it will be much easier to mimic the voice of Darth Vader.

You have to have an incredibly deep voice and be able to imitate James Earl Jones.

To talk like Darth Vader - lower your voice as low as you can. "Luke, I AM your father!" Not difficult unless you have a high pitched voice.
Don't know about the rat voice... Sorry.

well the voice isnt hard.. but if you want the breathing sounds you'll have to be a little creative.
The breathing was actually the sounds of a regulator valve (where the air goes through) on a scuba tank (they stuck a mic in it).

Vader: talk from your throat and curve your cheeks closer to your tongue
Rat: talk from your nose area
