"Enlightenment" might be considered a very individual ideal, (or the antithesis of individual, perhaps), so it would be folly to try to define it ...explain what that term means to you???

In many ways I feel "enlightened". I see things in different ways than most people.

I understand logic and its pure implications. I am aware my own purposes in clear detail and I understand everyone's broad purpose. I perceive the "cave" that we are trapped in and I have stepped outside. I am taking the path to true inner peace. I have a deep understanding of consciousness, intelligence and freedom.

Term? This is a state where all the terms which is also would be defined as conditions just cease to exist, thus there is no definitions would be possible from "enlightened' one...All the terms and definitions coming from those who is conditioned. Terms which coming from enlightened ones is not really truth but leading to it and 'enlightened" ones know it, sometimes suffering it willingly, well , there is another paradox, enlightened ones do not know that they are enlightened..other people determine it for them, yet it does not matter to those, called, enlightened. There is plenty of paradoxes related to state of enlightenment...It is not mental state, thus it is impossible for intellect to figure it out. That is why definitions, terms and conditions which is a mind/intellect offspring do not defy enlightenment and in a reverse, enlightenment does not have those, mentioned above...That state would be only experienced in silence.

Just as the concepts....Silence and Noice......Enlightenment and ignorance are not clearly understood.

Silence exists always. It is the noice that is an intrusion on silence. When we say"Be silent" we actually want that the noice to stop. Similarly , enlightenment is natural to all of us. It is the ignorance that hides the enlightenment.

LIke the small cloud that is obstruting the sun. The sun will always exist and brilliantly sparkle. Just let the cloud pas and you will see the truth.

We are all enlightened. In the process of our living we remove the ignorance , one by one. But the Human tendency is always to equate "Enlightenment" with that of Buddha`s or some such great persons. And get disheartened" No. I am not enlightened"

Ah, more than some, less than others.

Enlightenment is a path or a journey - it is discovery...

We have to live and learn, until the layers of illusion and ignorance are worn away.

We ALL get there, eventually.

Me, I'm on the path. :-)) I sweep the floor, and enjoy the sight of the sky. I'll get there. :-))

I guess I AM there, but I simply cannot see it, YET.

Enlightenment is the knowing that ALL are ONE, and that the ONE is comprised of the entirety of ALL of us. There is no separation. That is illusion. Sounds like gibberish, but it is Truth.

YD... Young grasshopper... There is much you still must learn. It is known for a fact that our sun will not always be there, it to will eventually be gone too. If you are referring to our life time then you would be correct.
I think of myself as being on the path to enlightenment. I wish more would join me on my trip, because it is truly a great experience.

It is through understanding that one can be "enlightened." I can't visually see what I understand yet, but I know that I am enlightened.
