I think you need one of both...loud friends are great to have a laugh with and go out clubbing with and quiet friends are good to trust & talk to and can do fun things like go to the movies, out to dinner with them ect....(they are both great fun) but in the end i would like to be around the one i can talk to and trust...(The quiet one!!) :)

My best friend talks alot while I'm quiet. We both play the same sports, but she better than me in all of them. She's pretty much perfect. She talks alot and is practically fearless. I like her better than my other friends cause she's louder and isn't afraid to say what she thinks. I know what it's like to be teased about being to quiet. Tell you friends you don't talk because you have nothing to say, and if you would say something, you can't think of anything to say. This worked on my friends, and after i told them that they realized that they talked a little to much and i talked to little. So I talked more and they still talked alot. This is the same with me laughing. They always want me to laugh and sometimes they laugh too much and get kind of obnoxious. But my friends will always rock. If you tried talking a little more than you are now, everything in time will be perfect. That one moment for me was awsome.

i think a mix of the two makes a good friend but just because someone is quiet or loud doesnt mean you should judge them or not be their friend, i dont think it was fair of your friends to say that but maybe they were just joking around, and im sure they didnt want to hurt your feelings you should probably tell them how you feel and talk to them about it.

I am a quiet person so I like loud friends, it seems crazy but it make me more outgoing and that helps me.
If they are your friends I don't think they should say that to you, it isn't nice at all, they don't know how it feels, just try and tell them to stop saying that.

I like friends with different personalities and for different reasons. It doesn't make me any difference between the quiet and the loud.

That isn't a fair judgement at all! There are all types of personalities out there. None of them are bad, they just have different personalities. In fact, I can not begin to imagine a world without both silent and load people.
For instance, silent people are good listeners, right? And load people are naturally good talkers, right? So imagine if the world was full of only good talkers. There would be no. The talkers would just talk over the talkers makig way for NO interaction....
Diversity kicks it! I'm sure you are sweet the way you are.

You don't have to worry about that, that's the way you are. Don't try to be loud and lose your personality.
You'll only become 2nd best when you try to be loud when you are naturally quite. Be your self .

I am the loud friend and everybody loves me. i am not trying to toot my own horn but i think you need to be outgoing if not people tend to stay at bay. Lighten up just a little and see if you notice a difference.

well,it doesn't really matter if a person is so quiet or too loud.what matters most is the person's total personality.that's the most important thing to me and to most people too,as far as i know.yet, there are people that could not really tame themselves in public.i don't like that,i want to be with someone who knows how to behave if needed.so,it's okay to be yourself,my dear. But you need to open your mouth sometimes so you wont spoil your saliva.haha..just teasing you.kidding aside, you really need to practice talking.
