Think about what symbol would be meaningful to both of you? Do you both like horses? Dogs? What breed? A sports team? Do you share a religious faith?

The trinket you're looking for must be small and light or he will pack it in the bottom of his suitcase or bag and not keep it with him. If he wears a chain around his neck, then perhaps a charm of your favorite animal or sports team symbol, or a religious symbol.

Nothing will actually protect your boyfriend while he's overseas except the power of your prayers. But knowing that you *are* thinking and praying for him will give him confidence and strength.

Since YOU want him protected, YOU should make something for him. It could be anything. A necklace is always easy, and he can wear it all the time. Say some prayers and mean it, then it's much more meaningful than some el cheapo trinket manufactured by underpaid kids in India.

I do believe protection can be had through the love and care of others. We influence the world in all we do, including through our thoughts.

Any drug store should carry CONDOMS. That is just what a man needs when he travels overseas. Some of those women overseas carry all kinds of things. So as far as protection goes, thats the best I can recomend... Since it is YOUR boyfriend don't get the ribbed for her pleasure...

I see them at the Christian Book store, I would imagine the Catholic Book store would have them also. He might carry the trinket as a reminder of the love that the two of you share. But pray for him, prayer is so much more beneficial.
