try pouring a small amount of rubbing alcohol in if there is water in them. Otherwise there are probably allergy issues. Benadryl or Claritin will help.

Depends if you are talking about earwax or a cold. If a cold, there is over the counter medicine that will help clear up your whole head and ears. If it's earwax, lots of different rememdies out there, some products and what you can do for that is probably already in your home. I am an earwax factory!! After I shower and wash my hair I carefully use a q-tip, if it's been awhile, take a very warm bath and lay on your back and let your ears go under the water for as long as you can take it, it will loosen up the wax for easier removal, but if it is earwax and it keeps up, one time mine got so bad, I was using my finger to kind of scratch my ear from the outside, not a good idea, the wax build-up clogged my ear so bad I had to go to the dr. and have it earigated (sp?), hope you get better when you find out your problem. Good Luck

I have that problem also. Here's what to do. There are commercial products at your pharmacy to soften the wax in your ears over a period of about 3-4 days. I use Debrox. Follow the directions on the box and if your ears are no better after that, go the doctor's office and they can remove the softened wax easily. Just follow the directions on the Debrox or whatever product you're going to use.

you can buy an ear wash kit at the drug store. they are messy and a pain and if they are really bad youll have to do it everyday for a week or so but they do work. otherwise the dr can clean them out.. there's also ear candles. i know it sounds weird but you buy them at healthfood/vitamin stores i think ask around. you put one end in your ear (cone shaped) and the other you light as it burns it pulls the earwax out of your ear and it sound cool too.they are some kind of paper coated with wax. if it's a cold you have you have a completly different issue, that's your sinus. get some medicine.

I heard that the best thing to do was to put mineral oil in your ears daily which will get rid of ear wax which may be the problem and to never use Q tips.

Your ears are self-cleansing, so unless you keep trying to clean your ears out with a cotton bud, was impaction should not occur. Cotton buds just push was further in. But if ear wax really bothers you, my textbooks says olive oil works as well as commercial brands. And cheaper too!

just go to your primary Dr. tell him you ears are plugged bad and you can't hear well. He should flush them out with water...it feels and sounds weird but man, you can hear like never before....stay away from the stuff you get at the store.....sometimes it makes it worse. Hope this works for you...good luck.... ;)

If it's not allergy related, try running warm water into them, either in the shower or with one of those waterpick things. As gorss as this sounds, it could be wax buildup.
Oh, someone else suggested one of those wax removal kits--they work, too, but be careful. I tried one and turned out to be allergic to the chemicals--oh, the itching!
