When the envelope flashes and says I have a new message, I go to check my mail and there is nothing there???

Click the envelope or click refresh to reload Yahoo! Mail and it will be there, otherwise wait a few minutes and it will automatically update. I'm not sure the exact time but the mail page automatically updates maybe about every ten minutes, so sometimes the icon on Yahoo! Toolbar will show you have a new message but the mail page hasn't updated yet..
