I trust apple myself. I've owned and used their products for 20 years and haven't had any serious trouble at all. Besides my current Mac, I own a 1st generation iPod and a 1st generation nano, my brother has a 4th generation iPod and my mother has a new nano. Whenever I have had problems, I've been able to go the their support site and find out what info I needed to correct the problem. Maybe your problem can be solved there, maybe not. I think it's worth looking into though.

I have an iPod nano, and I simply hate it. Apple has to make everything so pointlessly difficult. I want to just drag and drop my mp3's into a players memory, but nooo.. Apple has their own special way of doing it.

Microsoft is coming out with a new player called the Zune. It has a bigger screen than the current iPods, which is good if you are going to be watching any movies on it.

I have a PSP with a 4gig card, so I just use that.

mental? I dont get it. But anyway, i dont think iPod is the best for you. There's a lot of better mp3 players that fit you. Check out www.anythingbutipod.com . Click on reviews and there's a lot of iPod competitors.

Try asking the AppleCare support first. If it is still under warranty, they will fix it for free (or maybe even send you a new one).
