There hasn't been a good mario game since "Super Mario Sunshine". Why is this? Maybe nintendo is very focused on
"Mario Galaxies".
Also I wasn't including the "Mario Party" series or "Paper Mario 2".

I have played all the mario games on "Ds", but not the sport ones
I don't really like sport games.

New Super Mario Bros. for the DS is a good Mario game, why not give that a try?
They are putting a heavy focus on the Wii. Even Super Paper Mario was moved to the platform. The good Mario games are still there, but you'll have to wait for the really good Mario games.
@ Ivan_PSP: oh wow, the much tired "Nintendo is dead" rant. If Nintendo is dead, why is the DS topping sales charts every week?

Well Mario Party used to be good, but now they are cranking them out just for people to buy. The plot for those now suck and the minigames aren't as good. Three was the last good one.
As for Paper Mario, I love that series and they are planning to do more with it. They has been some things on the game: Super Paper Mario which sounds pretty interesting.
Then they have the Sport Mario games. BUt yes, you are right. Nintendo is putting focus on Mario Galaxy since it is one coming out soon after the Wii does and they want to work out all the details for that. Don't worry. The games will come. Just give it time.

They are making a game called Mario Strikers:Charged! for the Wii,as well as Mario 128,but i dont even have a clue what its about.................
and you never know,they might make a Paper Mario or Mario Party for the Wii
but in the mean time,you should get Super Paper Mario when it comes out for the GCN

New Mario Bros. is an excellent game with lots of secret stuff to find. Its a throwback to the 2d platform. Thats the latest true Mario Adventure.

The Mario Party series is extremely popular so they fosuced on that, also I'm sure that they are working on a new long game or better graphics right now.

WTF?! There are tone of new mario games on DS if you have it. If you want a great mario game, buy Mario 64 for DS. It is a new version of the old Mario 64, for nintendo 64. I recommend you buy it cause it's so much better.

they are trying to get other players like the ones who only play sports games like nmb06 live and games like that.
also mario hoops 3 on 3 is a really good game even if you cant actually run around in different worlds.

I didn't really think Mario Sunshine was all that great too. I agree though, they have been getting crappier and crappier. I hope they completely reinvent the whole Mario series on Wii.

well when they used to spit them out every year for the SNES they were 2-d so they werent nearly as hard to make, super mario 64 prolly took like 3 to 4 years to make so if you want quality then i guess we have to wait
