Yep, I wear one several times a year with my Elizabethan garb to Renaissance faires. I don't do waist training, mainly because it would be painful/dangerous to try it with a straight-front Elizabethan. The corset is primarily to give the dress the period-correct silhouette, give me something to attach the hoops to so they stay put, and take the significant weight of the gown off my shoulders (keeps my back from hurting).

I wore one for my wedding, but I could hardly breathe. Hopefully everyone just attributed it to being emotional!
