Justice is merely a hypothetical construct used to placate the masses. It gives them a sense of balance when somebody acts against the agreed upon moral standard. It also gives tremendous power to a judge and the system which supports his decisions.

Justice is an attempt at equity. No human effort can ever be more perfect than a natural transition, but humans are not so trusting or patient.

I suggest you go some place where justice really does not exists; say among the Jivaro of the Amazon River and then write your paper.

Well, I believe that an essential part of justice is rehabilitation - i.e. society sets a rule (e.g. don't steal) if someone breaks society's rule, they should be punished to demonstrate that they did wrong & provide a negative simuli to stop them reoffending, and it must then rehabilitate them, so they can return to society & not just abide by the rule, but understnad why.

On this basis, the death penalty contains NO opportunity for rehabilitation - so is REVENGE rather tha JUSTICE !

Are you saying it has not existed ever, and for whom has it not existed? You're not clear on whether you reject the possibility of justice, or if you think it's never existed. And whose standard are you using?

Well if you can't think of any reasons yourself - how can you claim that it doesn't exist.

Try to think things through yourself before you fall on the rest of us to do your homework.
