Dress is black up to knees, V neckline, short sleeve and has white polka dots. I have black ballerina flats...and was planning to add a red belt on the waist or maybe another color? I was also going to use red lipstick, should there be a pearl necklace/bracelet/earrings?, panty hose? if so what colors? anything else to achieve a 50's type style? What hairstyle should i wear? Name any accessories,colors,makeup, ideas etc. you think will help. thanks for the help!
note: im going to a party at school which is 50's themed.

oohhh, sounds like fun! I think you have it covered, a red belt would make a nice touch, with matching red lipstick! And the pearl necklace would be great too.
I think it would be cute to add a silky black 'scarf' and use it as a head band if you know what I mean. Tie it around your head and have the two ties hanging behind your head... part your hair on the side and add the head band.. you'll be the cutest one there!

The red lipstick and belt sound great but add the pearl necklace and earrings and pantyhose with the black stripe up the back of your leg (sorry don't know what there called) use powder to make your face pale and black mascara. And put your hair in a bun. Hope it helps and have fun.

Wear a red jacket, a black belt, a pink pearl necklace a silver braclet, high heeled black boots,hair in a high pony tail , silver big looped earrings and white ankle socks, put like a cute purse eith it pink eyeshadow ,mascara and does the jacket have a poodle on it mine does!!!!! good luck

the red belt and red lipstick...definitely! depending on how ornate the belt is, u could forego the pearls...
u could also use black liquid eyeliner and "wing it" on the end to achieve more of a fifties look.
top it off w/peep toe shoes in black or red.
