Isn't it enough that we have a Valentine's Day. Why did they have to invent a day like Sweetest Day? Don't you feel like you are being pressured to buy your girlfriend a gift or forced to take her out to dinner. I'd rather take her out because I want to, not because of some so called made up holiday like Sweetest Day.

Then take her out when you want. No calander day should tell you when you need to romance your loved one. Sweetest day was made up like 20 years ago and to this day half the world doesnt know it exists, like grand parents day. How many people know when that is. right..

I don't think they're making too much money from Sweetest Day. Most people, myself included, don't even know when it is, and if they do, I'm not aware they do much about it.
Grandparents Day is another one that just never seemed to take off, despite the best efforts of Hallmark and the florists.

I agree....Sweetest Day is what I like to call a "Hallmark" holiday. A day created by Hallmark to sell more cards. Just do what I did...I never started buying anything for my then girlfriend, now wife. Establish that reputation and she wont expect anything.....

We have been happily married for 10+ years now.

I don't even celebrate sweetest day. It's just a made up holiday to fatten hallmark's wallet.

I agree. It's a stupid hallmark holiday to squeeze more money out of the poor saps who fall for that crap.
