Sorry I did not see the PS2 part.... I own it for the PC. I honestly despise the Sims games for the consoles because you cannot use them together and they lack things that the PC gives you. For example the average PC expansion pack is about 2-5 times better then the PS2 game plus you can combine all the PC ones into one game. Here is what I said about the PC version I am sure that many of the things are the same but I guarantee the version for the PC is better.
I own it its great but only good when combined with the other 3 main expansion packs. Overall it could of added more and I am sure there is lots and lots I have not seen yet in it. Only been playing it for 3 hours. You can make almost any cat you can think of and it has like 30 premade cats types to pick from or you can edit any of the 30 fully or make one from scratch. So far it seems you cannot buy a kitten maybe you can only get one when a mother cat has baby's.
The dogs are a tiny bit better your able to make small dogs (still not puppy's) and large dogs. Overall when it comes to making the dogs or cats its great and you can customize almost everything. The animal interface in the game is also well done. I was mad when one of the first things my cat did was scratched one of my chairs. I let it scratch away without stoping it (wanting to know what the chair would look like after it was scratched.) I wanted to see if a Sim could repair the holes. But to my suppress the cat shredded the chair into nothingness or you could call it a junk heap. The same with beds and other things. So it can get annoying if you forgot what used to be in that spot.
You can however punish your cat for doing things and praise it for doing things. So if your cat is doing something right you can praise it. if its doing something wrong you can punish it. This will make it do the proper thing more often. That's about all I half to say. Note: You can also get various other pets but they are not done as well of the cats and dogs of course. Great expansion pack all around.
