It's normal. My sister's priods last 10 days and she has horrible cramps and diarrhea. Lots of girls have the same problem. But she got a medicine prescribed by the doctor.

Getting a period in 6th grade (I assume she's about 11 or 12) is not abnormal, but having it for that length of time is. She should see a gynecologist to see what's going on, she might have a hormonal imbalance of some kind.

I can't say I've heard of a girl starting as early as 4th grade, 6th grade yes. If she is going through this much problems at this young age she has to tell her mom or a family member that can get her to a specialist. I myself had bad pain, sometimes it would put me in bed and off of school, and at that age it's tough, but there are so many medicines now to stop the pain, but with the flow being that long, it could be other problems, this is very young, it could be one of your many of bad monthy's to come, but please check with a dr. in that field, hopefully you can get a female ob/gyn, she will make you feel more comfortable, and believe me they have seen so many cases, and it will put all of you more at ease, including her mom if she knows, if not, tell her!!!

It is not uncommon for girls to begin menses as early as 8 or 9 and as time goes by more and more girls are doing just that. The fact that her period is that long and she has pain is an indication that she may have a problem. Sometimes benign cysts can form or polyps. All common things that can happen to anyone who has a uterus. Hope this helps.

She definitely needs to see a doctor. With that long a period, she could be suffering major vitamin deficiencies. Also, the intense pain is a cause for worry. Talk to the school nurse, or a teacher you trust (a female one!).

many girls experience this and they usually put you on birth control to regulate it. I used to have really long heavy periods with severe cramping and as soon as i went on birth control I barely had cramping and my periods were only like 3 days and really light. And when you start your period its the best time to start seeing a gynecologist.

well seeing a gynocologist is normal, but not usually for a 6th grader. first of all, consider your source. this girl could be lying to you just to make you think shes "older" or whatnot. but if she a totally reliable source, then she is probably just getting used to her cycle. the menstrual cycle takes a couple years to become regular. ive had mine for more than 2 weeks, full blast. and yeah it sucks, every second of it. they could put her on birth control to regulate her periods, but i am not sure because of her age.

From your tale it says that you simply had intercourse along with your former boyfriend for the primary time, and the prior intercourse was once additionally with one more man, was once I proper? Remember that having intercourse with specific companions can reason disorders like vaginal infections, unhealthy secretions and odors, and so on. The dermis infection you had felt is also an infected vaginal membrane with a tender tissue. If that is consistently opened, micro organism might begin to penetrate and reason you to produce other disorders one day. I suggest you to have a pap smear to investigate in which the tear are located and feature it cleansed for correct medication.
