You didnt say what state you live in, but rule of thumb is 25%

50% in federal taxes plus state taxes, but; you can get some back at the end of the year. State taxes come out of Federal taxes so you get them back. Plus any other losses you may have incurred in gaming. And then there are your regular deduction. So, really in the end it varies on you tax situation, and; the money could be tax free on some shows.

Note: You have to pay the taxes immediately in most cases, but; you have 90 days to pay them or face possible penalty.
