You bet! I am tired of voting for people who tell lies to me. Even though many people say it's compromise, by handing them a free vote, aren't we giving them PERMISSION to lie? Enough is enough.

Overall the Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance.

Getting more people to vote in the first place will help diminish the power politicians have of buying groups' support with campaign promises. I vote for candidates running on the Libertarian Ticket. They have the most impact nationwide, are the best organized third party and have a 30 plus year history.

I vote third party but sometimes there's not a choice. If I see a DorR only, I don't pick. I won't be responsible for putting big money hand-shakers back into office.

You have more choices than you are led to believe. To see ALL of the ballot choices in your district, go to NON-PARTISAN Project Vote Smart

Yes it is, and a fourth and a fifth. However we need to amend our voting systems so they can enable alternative parties to work without having them act as 'spoilers' to one of the parties.
We need IRV (Instant Runoff Voting).
It allows more than a simple 'black and white' voting system that only really works when you have two candidates.
IRV lets you rank your vote. So if you want to vote for the Libertarian or Green party candidate but don't want it to act like a spoiler so the other guy/gal wins you rank it your first choice and then the other major party your 2nd choice.
That way if you vote for someone who doesn't stand a chance you won't have wasted your vote. It will just 'rollover' and then go to your next best choice instead.
Soon those 3rd party choices wil become more viable since there will be no reason to fear that by voting for them your least favorite one will win instead.

I wish, but it is inconceivable, third party's have very little chance to exist. The odds and the prospect of it happening is slim and none. I think the best chance of changing anything is to work within the main two party's to improve them. Pick the one that mostly matches your philosophy and work in that one, remember there are many people that feel like you do and you can change things with numbers in a democracy.

Absolutely, more like like 7-10 parties. The American political spectrum is to broad to fit into 2-3 categories.

What took YOU so long? I've voted Libertarian for fourteen years now, and I was hardly a pioneer.
