President Bush has a greater fear of hostilities with N. Korea because (a) Kim seems to have little in the way of sanity, (b) Korea is right by China and close to Russia, neither of whom like the US and both leaning toward supporting N. Korea, (c) Kim now has nuclear capability and a lack of restraint...not a good combination, (d) Japan is heading toward a solid military capability and N. Korea keeps pushing their buttons with these recent tests, (e) finally, N. Korea is becoming friendlier with S. Korea meaning the N can potentially seize control of the south.

Bush ain't afraid of anybody.
He has an endless expense account called the national debt.
Whenever he feels like using more money to do some damage, nobody fights against him.
Suckers, one and all!
N. Korea is playing with pea shooters as compared to the arsenal the U.S. has.
All this hype is around to fool the public and keep people scared.

I don't think he's afraid, I think he's scared $hitless. See, the US has about 40 thousand troops in the area and about the same number of dependants, contractors and related personnel. Now, if any type of serious squabble breaks out, these huddled masses are but sitting ducks for a couple of expertly lobbed explosive projectiles from the other side, whether they be nuclear or full of rock salt. Within minutes of war, there would be about 10x the number of casualties as there supposedly is in Iraq at the moment. Not a good platform from which to act quickly or irrationally.

He isn't afraid, he just realizes we have 1/5th of our military is in the middle east, and North Korea has the bomb, but i think its better to go to war now that they only have a handful of bombs, and not when they have a hundred.

North Korea has something called a n-u-c-l-e-a-r
w-e-a-p-o-n-s and although they probably couldn't attack the US they certainly could attack Japan and/or South Korea (US allies) and that tends to discourage the US from attacking you. The Iranians know it all to well. Saddam knew it too but wasn't able to build one.

The USA since 2nd World War did not go to war with any strong country...
Let me put it this way... the USA (the government/Pentagon and not the people) is like a big fat class boy who only hits and picks on weak students and unfortunately it is usually for unjust reasons
