I have a '92 civic, and for a while it just wouldn't start in the mornings, and my dash board went out completely after a couple of weeks of flickering. I changed the battery, and everything was fine after that. It wasn't v. expensive either, so maybe try that before you try something more costly. I would definately suggest taking it to a mechanic, as well.

My best educated guess would be the alternator. I think Auto Zone will check it for FREE. You don't have to buy one from them to get them to check it. Good Luck
