First Steve Irwin, then one jumps into a boat and kills a man. Have we crossed the line with these murderous stingray? Should we prepare for a man/stingray armageddon?

Yes, we should attack. They have already taken one of our best men.

Stingray attacks are extremely rare. I think the recent incident with the elderly man on a boat getting stung would not have made headlines if it weren't for its similarity to the Steve Erwin incident.

I know just a bit strange that this has happened makes you wonder whats going on. I didn't kill the man but is still in intensive care. And he did shoot his barb and punched the mans hart. How many more untold story's have there been before Steve Irwin?

i would side with the stingrays...i mean then i would have the killer whales, great whites, etc on our side by default...the humans would be runnning back and forth from the UN to PETA to god knows where else...while we would just kill them all and reclaim the Earth....(i am truely sorry for the loss of Steve Irwin and the Older man in Florida....i know this is a bit glib...)

acttualy the second guy didnt die hes in stable condition nd they have pulled the stinger out of him and hes in the hospital so they can keep an eye on him according to cnn unless youve got the latest info in the past hour or two. and maby we have crossed the line. who knows animals may look stupid but they are pritty smart compared to what we know. for example. why do animals go crazy before a natural disaster? somehow they know it was comming

These are normally gentle creatures that don't bother any land mammals or other ocean creatures. I'm wondering if their behaviour is caused by global warming or toxins that have got into the water over the years.

llol your question made me laugh right from the belly. Its a good question but based on 2 freak accidents its not to be assumed that this will happen, after all we are treading in their territory, if man were meant to live in water he would have been born in the water right?

I agree. The most recent attack was a little freaky. But I'm wondering what the victim did to provoke the attack. The article on Yahoo! didn't say too much about it.

One thing about it they were intruding on the stingray's territory, How would you like it if someone invaded your domain?
