If this is a new installation of your Windows platform, reformat, you can consider them gone.

Five months ago I changed from Windows 2000 Server NT Techology to Windows XP Prof. I was really shocked and quite upset with Yahoo, that my favorites and "My Web", they were not saved in their server. Only my "Bookmarks", were saved.

If this is just an update of the final release of IE7, if you look on the upper left hand side of your screen where you see a yellow star, just below the red Y, you should left click with your mouse on the star an if you are a lucky person they will have been saved. (They are saved with all IE updates, but not with a reformat).

Click on the star icon on your toolbar!
Or it might be under bookmarks.
You best use Mozilla Firefox, a much better web browser than IE. You can change and download new skins (layout and design of toolbars, etc.) and all kinds of neat tricks.

go to the address exactly as i give it to you , give it a minute and a download screen will come up telling you how to do it.

(ps, uninstall IE)

They are under the big red Y! and the yellow pencil has 2 little yellow stars, that is your favorite button.

you should have saved a copy of your favorites before you uninstalled ie.

all you would have had to do was click file > import/export and used the export wizard to save a copy of it

next time upload a copy of it to
http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/ for safe keeping

click on the tools "wheel" and check "menu bar" and it should come up, it will be below the address bar, one huge flaw of ie7. there are ways around that though.
