Basketball seems like an obvious answer and 1 which many would believe to be right. If you are just refering to modern day sports, or common sports, then that would be correct.
However, there are sports known as over and unders and tunnel ball. I'm not exactly sure if they are known as sports or whether they fall into the category of "games" but the balls that are normally used for that are "medicine balls" and while they vary in weight and size, the biggest one used is slightly bigger than a basketball by about 3 inches in circumference.
Hopefully someone has more knowledge than me and can give you a more definate answer.

In baseball, I've watched Garret Anderson of the Angels. He never swings at the first pitch. So usually pitchers can count on that as a sure strike. But one game this season, an Athletics pitcher threw an incredibly wild pitch. The catcher lost control of it and two runs scored. That was the biggest "ball" I'd seen in sports.
Do those giant inflatable yoga balls count?
If neither of the first two are acceptable, then I'd have to say it is the big red bouncy balls that elementary school kids use for playing four square.
