Always practice good anal hygiene by washing inside the anus. This can help decrease the itching. Soaking in a warm tub with a fourth cup of vinegar can help too. Soak for about 20 minutes.

However, if it persists, it could be hemorrhoids or a fissure of the anus. Make sure your diet has enough fiber in it to avoid constipation. Have your doctor check for hemorrhoids or fissures. Your doctor may want to give you a non steroidal ointment or cream for the itching. Also, you can do a lab test for worms.
