Well it all depends on the size and fattness of the bovine.
But...on average a market steer is 1250 lbs and the ideal percentage yeild is > 58%. So 725 lbs or more, if it is a decent carcass.

our hereford used to feed a family of 7 for almost 8 months. How much meat you get depends on the size and breed of the cow.

Depends on how big the cow is. And how much meat you can get off the cow once you take all the fat off.
