How is the shifting in a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport Automatic?

I just purchased this Jeep for my son. How smooth should the shifting between 1st and 2nd be? It seems to take a little long to shift from 1st to 2nd, but the shifting is smooth.

TRANS OIL PRESSURE LOW.BYPASS TRANS COOLER WITH RUBBER LINE AND CLAMPS. DRIVE 1-2 MILES. PROBLEM SOLVED? BYPASS COOLER WITH AUXILARY COOLER.
