below is an example poem
it is not a good poem
perhaps it will give you an idea about incoporating onomatopia in a poetic context
the cannon went "boom"
the cat said "meow"
the fire crackled
and then a shot fired, "pow!"
I didn't hear it
with my head in a cloud
I was walking oblivious
with my ipod really loud
