There are two ways to add songs to your iTunes library. Firstly, you can just add the folder that your music is in (File > Add Folder to Library...) or import the music, (File > Import...) which means that iTunes will copy all your music to a single folder and organise it for you, which sounds nice but really isn't, as it means that you'll have two copies of each of your songs unless you take the time afterwards to delete all the songs that you imported from their original folders.

Personally I recommend adding the folders, so choose that option (I'll note here that to add single songs or even if you want to select only certain ones, you can use the "Add File to Library..." option found on the same menu)

The easiest thing to do from here is to just select C: drive (or whatever your hard disk may be listed as), and click OK, but this will add EVERY media file on your PC (very bad if you play games or whatever with a lot of sound effects and music, even worse if you have Encarta or some other kind of encyclopedia program - even MS Office has sound and movie files in its current clip gallery)

Therefore, just select whatever folder you have for music (probably My Music) and press OK. If you have more than one folder that contains your music, then just repeat this process until you have all your music in iTunes.

1.Go to File

2.Then Add File to Library

3.Then copy/drag all the songs you want to migrate into your iTunes

(I think that may also work if in Step 2 you want to select Add Folder to Library if all your music is in one particular folder on your PC)

You could do that or DL a trial of software like CopyPod (copypod.net)
