I really want to have a costume party this year for Halloween. I think me and all my friends need a good reason to get dressed up, since we don't go trick-or-treating anymore. The only thing is, I don't really know what we could do? I know we could have some scary movies, and food. I don't go to parties though, too much stupid underage drinking for my liking. Thats about the only think I know goes on at parties, so I don't know what to do for my alcohal free party. Any suggestions?

My husband and I have thrown alcohol-free Halloween parties for the last three years. (We lived on campus so it wasn't allowed.)
Pick a theme first. This will help you decide how to dress, how to decorate, and what movies to show. You can also play games that go with the theme or provide music for dancing.
Last year with did "Prom Queen of the Damned." I wore a dress I got at Hot Topic with a Goth crown and wings, my husband wore a dark robe with horns. We decorated with streamers and balloons, and we had everyone bring a dish to pass. We had a giant meal and played card games. I set up a part of the room to be the "Grand Funeral March" and took everyone photo with flowers and with their dates if they brought one. We also danced, then watched scary movies. I also made a disco ball pinata, which we broke between movies for a break. Everyone was really surprised it was a pinata because they thought it was just a decoration! At the end of the night we crowned the Prom King and Queen of the Damn and gave them prizes.
