I am a loner by nature so I am okay with it. I had training though because he was in the service before he was a truck driver. There are groups on yahoo just for the wives of truckdrivers, I am a member of one. Look up truckerwives2 on yahoo groups. It is nice that there are people around to share information, *****, celebrate, ect... With this life style it is nice knowing there are others out there that are going through the same feelings.

I don't have much time to get lonely. We have an 11 year old son, a 2 year old son, and a 1 year old daughter, so they fill my time pretty much. We talk on the cell phone a lot and make up the missed time when he gets home. I miss him when he's gone, but it works out okay.

LOL i wish Answers was around when mine was on long haul...
I kept myself busy with work, I assume you have a little one by your name so thats about the same.
I spent alot of time on the internet, reading the news, and keeping in touch with friends via messenger.. I also did alot of crafts and joined a gym. It was amazing how many years that passed, and I really wasnt that lonely.
Thank god for cell phones ;) they helped alot.

Well you never thought about the wives of the army men in the War in Iraq. Think about it, then ask a better question.

Watch tv and spend time with the kids. It is tough but then in a way it is useful. Like since he is not there, you can spend more time with your children at night.
