The IT department sits around pretending to busy 90% of the time and the other 10% they work like hell.

The best supervisor tells you what they want done and lets you do it.

Being able to meet the user's needs in a timely fashion., Having a supervisor who leaves you alone and lets you do your work, clearing any roadblocks. Dislike those supervisors who overmanage.

It means dealing with other people's problems and not getting upset. It's realizing they're just trying to get their work done. It's not getting bothered when clients think computer or network problems are all your fault and taking it with a smile on your face.

It's relishing those sparse times when a client actually says... Thank you.

Being flexible, able to work with others, and you obviously won't mind other passing the buck.
