Her ex-husband is absolutely psychotic and has 9 felonies on his record. She should have never married him but everyone makes mistakes. She wants to get away from him but needs help with their baby because she is in college and doesn't make enough money to support the two of them right now. He stalks her and will not leave her alone whether she is at work or out with friends. Is it bad that she keeps him around? And what other options might she have?

Her best bet would be to get a protective restraining order against him and then notify the local police that hes stalking her and when they catch him especially with his record, that should put him away for awhile. Since hes basically a dead beat, she cant go after him for any kind of support so she should check with the local help groups for assistance, even the college counselors should be able to help. So finish school and move somewhere he wont be able to find her, possibly with relatives or friends. Good luck

Does she have family in another state that can help? Get a restraining order against him saying that she fears for her life and give a reason to. This is a bad situation because someone can get hurt ot even worse, killed. To answer your questions, if the ex-husbands behavior is how you described it, then it is bad for him to be around her. I am afraid there's not many options for her because she has a child with him and if he hasn't caused any physical harm to her and her child then there is few options. Ask her to talk to someone at Dept. of Social Services for more resources.

well, they do have a child together, but there should be a limit to their contact. Thats like me, i am going through a divorce from my wife of 5 yrs. We have 2 boys together, and we seperated over her having another man. When i started dating again, she went crazy!! she would show up here, cause problems, etc. even though her man was in the car!!!

it looked really bad, and all over jealousy. best thing is for her to ignore him, and let him realize things are over.

If he causes problems, she can get a restraining order, and he will have supervised visitation with the child.

She could always seek out a restraining order- if she is fearful. Doing this would make it illegal for him to come near her. But, sometimes, that pushes guys to the edge to do even worse things.
She should speak to an attorney. She needs to keep her child protected.

That is how a lot of women get killed. There are programs in every city for women like her. She should call them and just disappear for a while, also she needs a restraining order.

wow. 9 felonies...damn, don't look like he's scared of the police. so i wouldn't suggest calling them

wouldn't recommend she get a new boyfriend to keep him away.. then he may be a 10 time felon.

sorry. but i cant help.
i wish her the best of luck though

The police and a protection program is the best choice. It's indeed a hush situation.I myself can't figure out another solution.

She has to keep calling the police and establish the things he is doing wrong on paper. If she is keeping him around she is giving him the wrong signals and it could lead to her getting hurt or worse.
