Use an alias unless you are sure no one you know or ever will know is not out chatting as well. Chatting with your brother is much less embarassing when he doesn't know it is you.
Craigslist is a trial by fire but active. You can e-mail here. Look for interesting questions and answers and drop them a line. Ask a question about your area and the responses will probably be local people.

Don't reveal any kinds of information about
yourself even your real name because anyone can take your name and find out everything ,I mean everything about you.be very careful.
